Size: S/M (L/XL)
The finished jacket has a slightly oversized fit. The length measures 55 (60) cm, but you can make it as long as you prefer.
The jacket is 120 (130) cm around the chest, and size S/M will fit a chest size approx. 75-100 cm. Size L/XL will fit a chest size approx. 100-120 cm.
How much scrap yarn do I need?
The jacket made from pure kid silk mohair scrap yarn with 4 strands weighs approx. 225 (250) grams. We recommend you use 4 to 6 strands of kid silk mohair or thicker yarn double with 2 strands. If you use brushed alpaca like Drops Melody, Sandnes brushed alpaca or other thick brushed qualities, the jacket in standard length will have a total weight of approx. 450-500 grams. Depending on how many different colours you want to play with, you can just mix all types of yarn and qualities and give your jacket a unique look.
If you have scrap yarn in different colours, you can wind the strands together, giving every strand a personal touch. We recommend you wind up small balls of yarn with 4-6 strands of kid silk mohair or 2 strands of thicker yarn before you start knitting.
The jacket is knitted on needle size 10 mm.
