Loveknit favorite cardigan pattern in English

Sizes S/M (L/XL)

The cardigan measures 114 (124) cm around and will fit chest sizes 70-95 cm (95-110 cm).

Materials:

9 (10) balls of Mayflower Super Kid Silk Mohair. Knit with 4 strands.

Or

7 (8) balls of Fashion Light Luxury brushed alpaca. Knit with 2 strands.

Or

4 (4) balls of Fashion Light Luxury brushed alpaca, together with 5 (5) balls of mohair from Lana Grossa, Brigitte no. 3. Knit with 1 strand of each quality.

Gauge is 10 sts = 10 cm in stocking stitch on 9 mm needles.

Needle size is always a suggestion; if you have too many stitches per 10 cm, switch to a larger needle, and if you have too few stitches per 10 cm, switch to a smaller needle size.

Many other qualities can be used; always knit a swatch.

You need 8 stitch markers. A short 9 mm circular needle (40 cm), 7 mm and 9 mm long circular needles, and 7 mm double-pointed needles. You also need a stitch cable, scrap yarn, or a stitch holder to hold your sleeve stitches.

The cardigan is worked top-down with raglan sleeves, and you can measure the length as you work to see if the sleeves and body fit you. The body is knitted back and forth on a long circular needle; only the sleeves are knitted in the round on a short circular needle.
