The jacket's bust circumference is approx. 110 (120) 130 (140) cm and will fit a bust measurement of approx. 70-90 cm (90-110 cm) 110-120 cm (120-130) cm.
The jacket is designed to be oversized and therefore has extra cm compared to the bust measurement. The length is approx. 66 (68) 70 (72) cm long from the neck down, measured at the center back.
Yarn consumption:
12 (13) 13 (14) skeins of Mayflower super kid silk mohair. The cardigan is knitted with 4 strands.
Or
6 (6) 7 (8) skeins of Fashion Light Luxury brushed alpaca, together with 7 (7) 8 (9) skeins of mohair Brigitte no. 3. One strand of each.
Or
3 (3) 3 (4) hanks of thick hand-dyed mohair (approx. 200 meters/hank, e.g., Fat Mohair from Sysleriget together with 7 (7) 8 (9) skeins of mohair Brigitte no. 3. One strand of each.
The gauge is 10 stitches = 10 cm.
A variety of other qualities can also be used. Make a swatch beforehand.
You will need 8 stitch markers (abbreviated as SM in the pattern), a short circular needle (40 cm) 9 mm, a long circular needle (80 cm) 7 and 9 mm, and double-pointed needles 7mm, if you do not knit with the Magic Loop technique for the ribbing on the sleeves. You will also need two stitch holders, or two pieces of yarn to hold some stitches.
The jacket is knitted with raglan sleeves from the top down, so you can measure the length of the sleeves and body as you go.
A classic oversized jacket, with a good fit, that goes well with a basic wardrobe.
