A simple and easy-to-understand sock pattern. A lovely sock with a great fit that sits perfectly on the foot.
If this is your first time knitting socks and you've never tried knitting in the round on double-pointed needles, watch a couple of videos on how to do it first.
The socks are knitted in stockinette stitch. The cuff is knitted in rib, 1 knit, 1 purl.
Sizes: 21-23 (24-26) 27-29 (30-32) 33-35 (36-38) 39-41 (42-44) 45-47.
Yarn consumption:
1 (2) 2 (2) 3 (3) 3 (4) 4 skeins of All Day Merino from Gepard with two strands.
Or
1 (1) 1 (1) 1 (2) 2 (2) (2) hanks of Meilenweit Handdyed Sock merino from Lana Grossa with two strands.
Or
1 (2) 2 (2) 3 (3) 3 (4) 4 skeins of Salida sock yarn from Cewec with two strands.
There are plenty of options. The socks are knitted on 4 mm needles.
The gauge is 20 stitches = 10 cm. Make a swatch first to check if the gauge is correct.
You will also need 4 mm double-pointed needles and two stitch holders or stitch wires, as well as a tapestry/knitting needle. If you are new to sock knitting, we recommend bamboo needles so the stitches don't slip as easily.
